2012 ATN Leaders Forum

The socio-economic and political crisis and the impact on air transport
5 March 2012

Sofitel Athens Airport Hotel, Athens, Greece

Organized by Air Transport News

Air Transport News, after the successful launching of the Air Transport News Leaders Forum last October, is announcing the 2012 Air Transport News Leaders Forum which will focus on the socio-economic and political crisis and how is affecting and will affect the air transport industry.

This Forum will take place in Athens on March 5th 2012.

The questions that need to be addressed are how the air transport industry and all the stakeholders are to prepare themselves and what measures to undertake in view of the financial, social and political instability.

The participants of this economic forum will have the assignment to put together a declaration which will become the basis of a convention which will have to be approved by different authorities before the end of 2012.

This Forum will present and analyse four subjects:

  • The role of organizations, governments and regional authorities in helping the industry,
  • how banks and leasing companies can help the financing of airlines,
  • how airports and airliners can work in tandem in order to survive,
  • how solution providers can offer new products that will help airlines and airports to overcome the difficult times.
Top leaders have already committed themselves to come to the heart of the European crisis in order to take part and contribute in the first EU Airlines Economic declaration.

Air Transport News invites you to join these experts and to voice your ideas to this highly important effort.
